Emergency Operations and Contingency Planning
This course introduces National Disaster Organisations in CDEMA Participating States to GeoCRIS, the geospatial platform of the Caribbean Risk Information System (CRIS). It focuses on accessing and using GeoCRIS datasets to create mapping products that support disaster response and risk management in the Caribbean. Designed primarily for staff of National Disaster Organizations (NDOs) and their partners, the course also serves as an excellent introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for disaster risk management in the region—ideal for those new to GIS, geospatial analysis, or the Caribbean disaster management context.
