An introduction to key considerations for Violence Against Women & Girls/Family Violence (VAWG/FV) in the context of Caribbean Disaster Risk Management, and to a tool designed to assist the regional disaster management community to integrate these considerations into programmes and projects. Useful for anyone designing and implementing DRM programmes and projects in the CDEMA Participating States or other Caribbean territories.
The development of this micro-course was supported by UWI Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (DRRC), CDEMA Regional Training Centre (RTC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the Spotlight Initiative Regional Programme in the Caribbean. The Spotlight Initiative is a global initiative of the United Nations which has received generous support from the European Union. Its aim is to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls.
